Thousands of Nigerian men and women
are studying the Bible and theology in ECWA theological
institutions throughout the country. Many are training to be pastors or church-planters.
Others plan for various types of Christian service, or study simply to get a better
understanding of their faith.
The schools span a range from high school level courses in Nigerian languages to
university level ones in English. The students are as young as high school students, or as
old as middle aged. Many are married with children. They generally must support themselves
through school, often by farming in their home village or in the fields around the
schools.
Zabolo Bible Training School
is one such institution, where health is a serious problem.
