ECWA stands for the Evangelical Church of West Africa. ECWA was formed from the
churches originally planted in Nigeria by SIM, then the
Sudan Interior Mission. As the national chuches grew and matured, they joined together to
form the independent organization, ECWA, which now comprises over three thousand local
congregations. SIM (now the Society for International Ministry) and ECWA are partners in
the ministry to the human body, soul and spirit in Nigeria.
